AIFA Reading Society is a registered not-for-profit organization committed to fostering a reading culture and promoting quality education for sustainable development. In a bid to support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” – the Society targets the personal development of members and beneficiaries through learning activities and provides the necessary resources required to encourage reading.

The pervasive influence of technology in urban settings and the income inequality in rural areas have contributed to the decline of the reading culture in Africa. Through its various projects and initiatives, AIFA Reading Society encourages the adoption of reading practices that promote a reading culture while empowering beneficiaries with information and learning resources to support the attainment of equitable quality education for all.
